Stantonbury School opened its doors on Wednesday 4th September 1974 with Geoff Cooksey at the helm!
The first of a number of large comprehensive school campuses that were due to be developed within the new city of Milton Keynes.
As a result of close cooperation with the local authorities, a large Leisure Centre, Theatre, Music Centre, Health Centre, Ecumenical Centre, Community College, Youth Centre, shopping and recreational facilities were to be included on the site for shared use with the surrounding community.
