Deep beneath the earth lies a hidden world where stories are controlled, questions are forbidden, and every child is taught to fear what lies above.

Ruled by the mysterious Shakespeare and his loyal creatures of the underworld, life follows a carefully written script. The younglings are told that the world above is dangerous, that sunlight is a myth, and that freedom comes at a terrible cost.

But whispers of another world begin to spread.

A forgotten book. A hidden clue. A dream of oceans, skies, explorers and light.

As brave young rebels, curious librarians, hopeful dreamers, mischievous creatures and powerful guardians collide, the children must decide whether to obey the story they've always known or risk everything to discover the truth.
