Becky Gouverneur Exhibition

Becky Gouverneur is a professional charcoal artist specialising in wildlife and domestic animals. Becky was born in rural Buckinghamshire surrounded by horses, cows, sheep and pets which serve as a constant source of inspiration for her work. Her style has developed iver the years but her primary focus remains quirky, large scale, high contracst charcoal animal portraiture, ofthen on a stark white background which shows influence from her years as a professional studio photographer.

This is also what truly sets her apart from other talented animal artists. Her photography works in harmony with her drawing, she personally photographs her subjexts for all her drawings whereever possible and often integrates digital technology in the production of her compositions. The combination of high quality, insightful photography and highly realistic drawing techniques produces stunning images full of character and fun.

Alongisde her drawing Becky also teaches part time at Stantonbury, teaches and writes regularly for the Society for All Artists (SAA), has a number of private students, does talks for art societies and groups, runs workshops in other schools and her work is exhibitedf across the UK in various locations.
